same template, same raw materials, endless possibilities…
The human body has often been described as a vessel – carrying us through life . Thus the vessel form seemed appropriate to explore the challenge of creating a variety of shapes, sizes and textures using a single resist template as a starting point, and the same raw material – natural undyed wool.
Once I started, it was hard to stop. The possibilities seemed endless. Some pieces chose to take their own direction – like the one that decided to do that very human thing: ‘collapse in a heap’.
